MARQUETTE - Florence S. Balwinski, 68, formerly of 318 Jackson St., Marquette, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee following a short illness. She had been hospitalized since Oct. 31.

Born June 25, 1916, in Marquette, she resided there until 1968, when she moved to Florida. She had been a Milwaukee resident since 1979. While residing in Marquette, she was a member of St. Peter's Cathedral and the Cathedral Altar Society, and the Daughters of Isabella. Her husband Florian, died in October of 1964 and a son, James died in 1979.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth) Hart of Beverly Hills, Fla., and Mrs. Gordon (Ruth) Wall of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a son, Philip of Racine, Wis.; two brothers, Raymond and Edward Burch, both of Marquette; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services and visitation will be Wednesday at the Fassbender Funeral Home with the time to be announced in Tuesday's Mining Journal.

MARQUETTE - A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated for Florence S. Balwinski at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Cathedral. She died Sunday.

Friends can call at the Fassbender Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
