The husband of Sarah Ritter, he and his family appear on the 1850 census at St. Joseph County, Indiana and afterwards came to settle at Floyd County, Iowa. Ashberry Baltimore made out his will at Marble Rock, Iowa on 29 Jan 1886. In it, he named his wife Sarah, and their seven children: Nancy Barbara Johnson, Louisa Vorhes, Mariah Jane Ackley, Sarah Ann Vorhes, John T. Baltimore, Diantha L. Beelar, and Mary Ann ‘Polly’ Bucklen.
