Augusta Ballou Davidson died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1886 at the home of her sister, Mrs. Mary Geer Brown, Wheaton, Ill. Mrs. Davidson had been sickly for some time and came here about ten days before to visit and benefit her health.
Augusta Ballou was born Dec. 20, 1844 in Wheaton, Ill, the daughter of Levi and Mary Marble Ballou. She married Welcome N. Davidson, Oct. 20, 1870 in Wheaton. They settled in Glidden, Carroll County, Ia. In 1883 they moved to Foster, Pierce County, Nebr.
She leaves to mourn her husband, Welcome, two sons, Lewis and Charles, two daughters, Mae and Mattie, twin brother, Augustus, sisters Mary Geer Brown and Orpha Barnes. Her parents, sisters Frances, Hannah Sophia Holt and Sarah Box proceeded her in death. Burial was in the Wheaton Cemetery, Wheaton, Ill.
