Born March 18, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Luther Edward and Minnie Belle Wright Evans and the granddaughter of the late Edward Hines and Celestia Richard King Evans, all of Greenville.
Alice was a member of Trinity UMC and Treasurer of The Ladies Bible Class, a 1940 graduate of Greenville Senior High School and Draughn's Business College. She was a retired Federal legal and medical secretary.
She was a watercolorist, a doll maker and did numerous needle works, talents she shared with friends. She was a member of Heart Life Program at the Life Center for many years.
She is survived by a son, David Evans Ballenger and wife, Wendy; two grandchildren, Hudson Marie and Noah Christopher Ballenger.
