Daisy Ball Aldridge, 89, formerly of Norfolk, died Dec. 19, 1997, in Newport News.
Born in Raleigh, N.C., she was a member of Deer Park Baptist Church in Newport News, and a former member of Ocean View Baptist Church in Norfolk. She was a 25-year employee of the Naval Air Station Photo Lab where she received the Meritorious Service Award. She was also a volunteer at DePaul Hospital where she devoted thousands of hours.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia A. Gregory and her husband, Vernon H. Gregory, of Norfolk, and Lucille Harris of Norfolk; four grandsons, Daniel Gregory, Robert Gregory, Allen Harris and Ronald Harris; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. David Clay and Pastor James E. Womble. The family will be at 7627 Leafwood Drive, Norfolk. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
