MRS. JOHN D. ANDREWS DIED AT DECATUR

After an illness of more than six months from heart trouble that finally produced dropsy, Mrs. John D. Andrews, born in Wells County passed away Monday night at the family home at Decatur. Some weeks ago her condition for a time was very critical, but she rallied and seemed to get better, but last Sunday a change came and from then to the time of her death she sank rapidly.

Mrs. Andrews was a daughter of Trader and Elizabeth White Ball, and was born in Wells county. When a small girl both parents died, and she then made her home with strangers, largely, until she had grown to womanhood.

On December 17, 1874, she was united in marriage with John D. Andrews and since then her home had been continuously in Decatur and the vicinity. She had resided in Decatur for more than twenty years. She was born on August 2, 1858, and at death was 58 years, 5 months and 28 days old.

Mrs. Andrews was the mother of five children, four of whom are living, one son, Charles, having passed away when four years old. Those living are Mrs. Enoch [Nellie] Eady, of Decatur; Mrs. Charles[Gertrude] Railing of Lima, Ohio; Chauncey W. Andrews, El Reno, Oklahoma; and Harvey Burton Andrews of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. There are also fourteen grandchildren surviving.

Besides her own immediate family there are four sisters and two brothers living. The location of the two brothers, both of whom are in the west is at present unknown. The sisters are Mrs. Geo DeBolt, Decatur; Mrs. Malinda Johnson of Monroe; Mrs. Mathias Brandyberry, Decatur, and Mrs. M. F. Burkhead, Decatur. Funeral services were held this afternoon at Decatur.
