MRS. WALTER BAKER
Former Well Known Resident of Madison, Died in Birmingham Sunday
A telegram was received by Mr. Wilson Baker yesterday evening announcing the death of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Walter Baker, which occurred at her home in Birmingham, Ala., yesterday morning at 4:40 following a long illness.
The decedent was about 40 years of age and before her marriage she was Miss Lula Ball. She was born in this city and had many friends here who will learn of her demise with much regret. Besides a husband the deceased is survived by one son, Raymond, and two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Alte, Jr., and Miss Edith Baker. She also leaves her father, Mr. Omer Ball, of Cincinnati, a brother, Mr. Marcus Ball, of Carrollton, Ky., and a sister, Mrs. Lela Bates of Chicago. The family moved from here to Birmingham over a year ago.
The remains will be brought to Madison on the noon train tomorrow and will be taken to the home of Mr. Wilson Baker in West Madison where funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. The interment will be in Springdale cemetery.
