James W. Ball, 23, of Oxford, Ark., formerly of Irvona, died Monday evening, Oct. 23, 1995, at Clearfield Hospital emergency room, as a result of injuries suffered in a one-vehicle accident in Beccaria Township Monday evening. He was born Jan. 3, 1972, in Philipsburg, the son of Walter J. and Melva M. (Stephenson) Ball. Mr. Ball was self-employed as a lumberman. Surviving are his parents of Oxford, two sisters: Tina M. of LaJose and Terri L. Davidson of Mahaffey; a brother, Thomas W. of Oxford; three half sisters: Audrey Danforth of Norwalk, Conn., Andrea Casey of Staunton, Va., and Tricia Patterson of Clymer; and a half brother, Jay Ball of Oxford. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.

BALL – Services for James W. Ball, formerly of Irvona, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, by the Rev. Albert Cooper. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Utahville. At the request of the family there will be no viewing, but friends will be received from noon until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
