RICHMOND, Ind. – Linda F. Ball, age 53, of Richmond, was called back into the Kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Reid Hospital. Born March 21, 1960, in Richmond, to James C. May and Mary L. Greer May, Linda was a life-long resident of Richmond. She was a 1978 graduate of Richmond High School. Linda was a machine operator at Transilwrap for more than 16 years. She was much more than a wife, mother, sister, or nana. Linda was more like a best friend to her family, always cheerful. She will be missed. We know she is above us watching over all of us. We love you and may you fly above the clouds forever more and paint the sky with stars as our guardian angel. Survivors include her loving husband, Michael R. Ball, to whom she was married July 16, 1978; daughters, Teela (William) Kirkham and Michelle Ball, both of Richmond; grandchildren, Karen, Alexus, Austin, Fae, and Nadia; sisters; brothers; many nieces and nephews; and mother-in-law, Martha Ball. She was preceded in death by her father, James C. May; mother, Mary L. Shank; and two brothers. Visitation for Linda F. Ball will be from 4 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2013, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Chalk officiating. Entombment will be in the Earlham Memorial Mausoleum. Condolences may be sent to the family via the guest book at www.doanmillsfuneralhome.com.
