Surviving with his wife are one daughter, Leondra Sue Wade and husband, Larry, of Mitchell, IN; one son, Larry Lee Ball and wife, Rebecca, of Mitchell, IN; four brothers: James Ball of Bloomington, IN, Kenneth Ball of Bedford, IN, Charles Henry Ball and Ronald Wayne Ball, both of Mitchell, IN; three sisters: Louise Williams and Mildred Henderson, both of Mitchell, IN, and Lavon Callahan of Bedford, IN; three granddaughters: Wendy Michele (Ball) Piwonka and husband, Daniel, of Pensacola, FL, Jennifer (Ball) Tillete and husband, Shane, of Paoli, IN, and Kimberly Wade of Bedford, IN; and five great-grandchildren: Devin Ball, Jenasin Wilson, Jadelyn Reynolds, Leah Tillete, and Jonathan Piwonka. He was preceded in death by one brother, John Ernest Ball.
He retired from Lehigh Cement Company and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Germany. He attended Crossroads Community Church and was a member of Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post #250.
Services for Leon Ball will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22nd, at Crossroads Community Church with Pastor Ken Ransom officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery with graveside military rites accorded by members of Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post #250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #9107.
