INJURIES FATAL TO EDWARD BALL
Man Injured in Runaway Dies Today--Funeral at Everton Thursday
Edward P. Ball, age 58, of near Everton died at 8 o'clock this morning at Memorial hospital of injuries suffered several weeks ago in a runaway accident. His condition had been serious since the accident, following which he was unconscious for many hours.
Mr. Ball was thrown from the buggy in which he was riding when his horse frightened on Berninger Hill and he was found unconscious in the road. He was later removed to the hospital and from the first it was feared that he had been fatally injured. He suffered a deep gash in the head and a fractured skull.
Deceased was the son of George W. and Jane Ball and had been a life-long resident of Fayette County. He had been engaged as a truck gardener and for many years sold vegetables in this city where he was quite well known.
He is survived by the widow, one daughter Gladys May, one brother Benjamin, and four sisters, Mrs. Frances Lake, Mrs. Ephriam Jones, Miss Susan Ball and Mrs. Sarah Myers, all of Fayette County.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday at the Everton M.E. church, conducted by the Rev. R.O. La Hue. Burial will be in the Everton Cemetery.
