Felix David Ball, 86, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of New Haven, a WWII Army veteran and a member or St. James Catholic Church where he sang in the choir for a number of years. The devout catholic graduated from St. Catherine High School in 1942 and worked in the Comissary meat department at Ft. Knox for 44 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Margaret Sims Ball, by a brother, Cyril Ball and two sisters; Mary Maragaret Rassel and Joan O'Bryan. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Ann Akers Ball, by one son, Mike Ball (Scarlett) of Elizabethtown, five daughters, Patty Sears of Nashville, TN, Peggy Gilpin (Sam) , Susie Peterson (David) and Kathy Richardson (Larry) all of Elizabethtown andd Jeanie Upton (Don) of Hendersonville, TN, four sisters, Ruth Hall of Bardstown, Elizabeth Martin of Taylorsville, Ann Rita Pemberton of Louisville and Winifred Dernec of San Clemente, CA, 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Chuck Walker officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a prayer vigil service at 6:30 p.m., and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home
