Judy Garland - JOHNSON CITY

Mrs. Judy L. Garland, 58, Johnson City, passed away Thursday April 29, 2010, in the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Garland was a lifelong resident of Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late William and Hazel Kelley Bales. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Anne Autry; one brother, Charles "Dickey" Bales.

Mrs. Garland was a homemaker and a member of the University Parkway Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Delman Garland, of the home; one son, Louis Trivette and his wife, Kimberly, of Kingsport; two brothers, Tommy Bales and his wife, Barbara, of Orlando, Florida, and William "Bill" Bales Jr. and his wife, Dawn, of Jonesborough; two sisters, Isabelle Evans, of Jonesborough, and Glenda Slagle and her husband, Dave, of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Louis James Trivette II and his wife, Dana, of Johnson City, Jessica Leanne Trivette, of Johnson City, Julea Renee Trivette, of Johnson City, and Caleb Guinn, of Johnson City; one great grandchild, Louis James Trivette III, of Johnson City.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Road, Johnson City, Tn. 37601.

The graveside service for Mrs. Judy L. Garland will be conducted at 2 PM Monday May 3, 2010, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Rev. Rick Potter will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 to 1:30 PM.
