Albany, Tx. - Outia C. Awalt, 84, of Albany, formerly of Winters died Monday October 15, 2012. She was born April 10, 1928 in Winters to Carl and Bessie Hambright Baldwin and grew up and graduated from Winters High School. She married Deward Awalt August 5, 1946 in Ballinger and he preceded her in death August 5, 1997. She lived in Winters until 1969 when they moved to Albany. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.
She is survived by 3 children: Brenda Mitchell and husband Scott of Baird, Terry Awalt and wife Beth of Colleyville and Randy Awalt and wife Nita of Albany. 2 brothers: Arnold Gene Baldwin of Ft. Clark Springs, Texas and Jackie Baldwin of Amarillo. 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 1 sister: Lavonda Hightower.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday October 17, 2012 in the Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Montoya officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview cemetery directed by Winters Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Steven Mitchell, Matt Rogers, Brandon Awalt, Corey Awalt, Chase Awalt, Brad Awalt and Oscar Martinez.
