He married Elaine Jenkinson on Dec. 12, 1942 at the First Methodist Church, Hopkinton.
He was a foreman in the maintenance garage at Aluminum Company of America until his retirement in 1975, after 35 years.
Surviving was his wife; a son and his wife, James and Terri, Eugene, OR; three daughters and their husbands, Bonnie and Gary Cousineau, Mitchell, IN; Shirley and Steve LePage, Champlain and Barbara and Gregg Reid, Massena; two brothers, Lawrence Hawkins and William Grant, both of Knoxville, TN and a sister, Mary Beeson, Massena.
Two sons, Jackie and Frederick, and a daughter, Evelyn Baldwin died in infancy. Four sisters, Freida Garcia, Alice Garcia, Doris Cline and Aletha Tyo, also died before him.
