Janie Lucille Baldwin,91, of Arrington, died Monday, June 11,2012 at her home. Born in Bryant, August 9, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Willis Elmer Ballowe and Gabe Johnson Ballowe. In earlier years, Lucille had been a school bus driver for Nelson County Public Schools for over 39 years. She was also a member of Jonesboro Baptist Church. She is survived by sisters, Virginia Tompkins (Tommy) of Hawaii and Berksie Adams of Arrington; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and other loving family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, James Whitmell Baldwin; brothers, Humie, Vernon, Robert and Ralph Ballowe and sisters, Viola Burnette, Carrie Woodson and Ann Thacker. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2012 in Jonesboro Cemetery by Rev. Wayne Underwood and Rev. John Campbell. The family will receive friends and family at the home of her sister, Berksie Adams.
