Lillian Rose Baldwin, 69, died at 12:01 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at Danville, Illinois.
Rose was born Dec. 15, 1941, in Catlin, Illinois,to Hugh Eugene and Beulah Leroy Richardson Thomas.
She attended Catlin Grade School. She had worked as a nurse assistant at American, International and the Danville VA hospital, retiring in 1997. She had been a member of Hooten Church. She enjoyed bingo and euchre, and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Rose married Ralph Lee "Baldy" Baldwin on Aug. 6, 1957, in Danville. He preceded her Sept. 27, 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Ron (Jennifer) Baldwin and Russell (Margaret) Baldwin; a stepson, Ralph Baldwin Jr.; three grandchildren, Amy (Brad) Simmers, Brandy Baldwin and Richard Lee Baldwin Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Katelynn Marie Simmers and Richard Lee Baldwin III; a brother, Charles (Leann) Thomas; a sister, Sharon (Don) Winkler; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved and miss her dearly.
She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Ralph; a son, Richard Baldwin Sr.; a grandson, Bobby Lee Baldwin; four brothers, Clarence, Hugh, Floyd and Harry; and three sisters, Evelyn Jinkins and Betty Shaw and infant sister.
