Moses Balch (1777-1813), m. (1) Abigail Dodge aka "Nabby" (1776-1804), dau. of Nehemiah Dodge (1753-1825) and Ruth Woodbury of New Boston, NH, on Sept. 13, 1798 and had 3 children: Elvira (m. Mr. Tewksbury), Sarah (m. George Dunlap), and Franklin (d. young).

After Nabby d., he m. (2) Sarah Willis and had 4 more children: John (1806, a farmer and carpenter, m. Lydia A. Andrews; 8 children), Samuel (1808-1854, m. Nancy Maria Bartlett; 3 children), Moses, Jr. (1810-1891, m. Mary Ann Burnham; 8 children) and Abijah (1813-1871, a farmer, m. Eliza Nites).
