Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran church at Leland for Albert Bakken who' died Sunday after several years of illness. Death occurred at the Veteran's hospital, Des Moines, where Mr. Bakken had been cared for the last week. The Rev. James 0. Olsen conducted the services and burialt was at the Forest Home cemetery east of Leland. Pallbearers were John Severson, Orval Bowman, Gilmer Haugen, Marlin Nolte, Junior Finer and

Albert Bakken was born Jan. 27, 1890, in Minnesota, the child of Mr. and Mrs. Anon Bakken. He lived in Leland most of his lifetime and for many years was employed as buttermaker at the creamery. He did overseas service in World War I.
Mr. Bakken was married to Jessie Christine Colby who preceded him in death. Later he married Theresa Reiman. He was preceded death by his parents; One sister, Annie, and a brother, Melvin
Surviving are his wife; two daughters by his first marriage, Mrs. Donald Helen)Bailey of Waverly and Mrs. Ivan (J·essie)Bennet of Rudd; a step son, Gordon Reiman, of Leland, and three daughters by his second marriage, Mrs. William (Delores) Neu of Denver, and Marilyn and Carole Ann at home and three grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters; Mrs. Amelia Rusley of Mason City, Mrs. Selma Core of Charles City and Mrs. Annette Thompson of Leland.
