Molly Ydstie, 90, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Monday, March 12, 2001 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2001 at 2:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer, MN with Reverend Robert Paulson Officiating. Burial will be held in the Emardville Cemetery at Plummer, MN.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 5 8 PM with a 7:30 prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Molly Thorene Bakke was born November 29, 1910 near Gonvick, MN daughter of the late Ole and Gunhild (Audelid) Bakke. She was raised in the area and attended country school at Engelstad School House and Pleasant View District #9. Molly was united in marriage to Waldemar Ydstie, December of 1935 in North Dakota. The couple farmed his family farm in Red Lake County near Red Lake Falls, MN. Molly worked at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls for 22 years until her retirement. Following her retirement she moved from her family farm to her daughter's farm where she lived for fifteen years and the past 4 years she has resided at Hillcrest Nursing Home.
Molly was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer, MN. She enjoyed flowers and music, being able to play many different instruments. She did embroidery and needlepoint. She loved animals and loved to cook, most of all Molly enjoyed her family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mavis (Gary) Grove of Red Lake Falls, MN; Cherie Sabo of Glyndon, MN: six grandchildren Gary, Allen, Linda, Kenneth, Lorie and Jon: eight great-grandchildren and cousins.
Molly is preceded in death by her husband, parents, Brothers Otto, Hans, Jon, and Eilev; one grandson Daniel.
