Ada Glass Baker, 89, Sunnyside Presbyterian Home, Harrisonburg, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg. She had been a resident at Sunnyside since 1981.
Miss Baker was born Nov. 1, 1910, in Winchester, and was the daughter of Joseph Glass and Olive Copp Baker.
She was a member of the Massanutten Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Handley High School and served as director of Christian Education at First Presbyterian Church in Winchester in 1944. She also served the Presbytery until 1966, including 16 churches in Floyd, Franklin, Patrick and Carroll counties. She retired Oct. 18, 1975.
Miss Baker was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
The Revs. George Conn and Paul O'Gorek will conduct a graveside service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Cross Keys cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Sunnyside Presbyterian Home, 100 Sunnyside Drive, Harrisonburg, Va., 2280l.
Arrangements are by the McMullen Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. The casket will be closed.
