ANNA BAKER RITES HELD
LITCHFIELD--Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Baker, 88, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Christian Church.
The Rev. Loren Swedburg officiated, Paul and Royce Chipps sang "In the Garden" and "Rock of Ages", accompanied at the organ by John Cherry, who also played the prelude and recessional.
Pallbearers were Ray and Vernon Eastabrooks, John O. Bell, Elmer Heisner, Art Saum and Jen Jensen. Burial was in the Ortello Cemetery in Anselmo.
Mrs. Baker died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Delbert Burton.
Born at Dundee, Ohio, Feb. 16, 1868, she married Francis S. Ackerman in 1887. The couple had three children. One daughter, Mary, died Nov. 15, 1921. Mr. Ackerman died in July 1925.
She was a member of the Baptist Church in Mason City.
Mrs. Ackerman married Albert Baker on Sept. 1, 1944. He died two years later. Since that time she has made her home with her daughter with the exception of one granddaughter, Mrs. Inez Ash of Mitchell, Neb. It was there that she suffered a stroke on Feb. 28, 1954. After spending a month at a Scottsbluff Hospital she was brought to her daughter's home.
She is survived by a son, Harry Ackerman, Scottsbluff; a daughter, Mrs. Mae Burton, Litchfield; three brothers, three sisters, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
