MEDINA – Private funeral services were held at the McCauley Funeral Home on Monday, March 28, for Maryann Barrett Baker, 74, formerly of Jennette Drive in Boardman, who passed away on March 24, at the Hospice of Medina County.
Mrs. Baker was born on Dec. 25, 1936, in Youngstown. She was the daughter of James and Anna Lynch Barrett.
Her husband, John Harold Baker, whom she married on Oct. 28, 1961, passed away on Oct. 13, 1974.
A graduate of Ursuline High School, she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Youngstown State University. She held teaching positions in the Boardman and South Range School Districts and was the owner of the James World Travel Center and Mahoning Women's Center.
She is survived by a son, Timothy (Jennifer) Barrett Baker of Medina; grandchildren Connor and Erin; and a sister, Patricia (Rick) Barrett Noderer of Port Clinton.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gretta Barrett Jones.
The family request that contributions may be made to Hospice of Medina County, 797 North Court St., Medina, OH 44256.
Arrangements were handled by the McCauley Funeral Home, serving the Valley for more than 109 years.
