James P. "Jim" Baker, 74 died Monday, February 16, 2015 at his residence. Born May 25, 1940 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late John D. and Sally Belle Coyle Baker. He was a retired Dairy Farmer and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors and attended Dry Branch Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include: two sons: James Allen (Diana) Baker and Earl Wayne (Libby) Baker both of Harrodsburg; three brothers: Donald Ray (Hazel) Baker, David (Pat) Baker and Ronnie (Marsha) Baker, all of Harrodsburg; one sister: Corene (Harley) Humfleet of Harrodsburg; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Raymond and Kenny Baker.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery with Bro. Harley Humfleet officiating. Burial with military rites will follow.
