Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Assembly of God church in Waterloo for John R. Baker, 56, 724 State St. Mr. Baker died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday at Schoitz Memorial hospital in Waterloo.
The Rev. R.L. Thompson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery.
Mr. Baker was born here Feb. 13, 1906, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Baker. He married Alice Eastman Nov. 6, 1933, at South Bend, Ind.
He was a machinist at the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for several years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God church in Waterloo.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Williamson, 922 Franklin St., Waterloo; four brothers, Charles, 624 4th Ave.; Ralph, 2311 Central Ave., North Cedar; Curtis, 912 W. 14th St., and Dallas, Cedar Falls; three sisters, Mrs. Frances Smith, South Bend, Ind., and Mrs. Marion Vollbrecht, 1104 W. 5th St., Waterloo, and Mrs. Lawrence Rogers, River Bluff Park, Cedar Falls.
He was preceded by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at the Nelson funeral home after 7 p.m. Monday.
