A native of Bertie County, N.C., she was a retired educator having taught in the Virginia Beach area including Princess Anne Courthouse. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Norfolk, the Miller Bible Class and taught Sunday School. She was a leader in Bible Baptist Training. She was a graduate of William and Mary.
She is survived by a son, Eugene T. Bunch and his wife, Alease B. Bunch of Richmond and a daughter, Dr. Kato B. Keaton of Pensacola, Fla. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Deborah Hale, David E. Bunch, Denise B. Spelts, Lisa Y. Keaton and Eric Keaton; two great-grandchildren, Diane M. Noyes and Ellen T. Bunch and three great-great-grandchildren; six sisters, Edith Lane, Edna Elliott, Grace Eddy, Polly Domitrowsky, Catherine Welcher and Shirley Tucci; and two brothers, Henry Baker and Carroll Baker.
A funeral will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
