Mr. and Mrs. George Baker, died in a
Belle Fourche hospital Tuesday evening
following a 10-day attack of influenza.
She received a severe hip injury about
a year ago, and had been living with her
brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs.
Lauren Davis, in Belle Fourche since
that time.
Surviving her besides her parents and her
sister, Mrs. Davis, are two other sisters,
Mrs. C. B. Waffel of Belle Fourche and Mrs.
Clark Jones of Chinook, Montana, and four
brothers, Clarence, Harry, and George of
Spearfish, and James who lives in California.
Joan Baker was born in Spearfish in 1925.
She attended Spearfish schools and was
attending the local high school when she
was injured a year ago.
