Robert Richard Baker

Wiley Ford, WV - Robert Richard Baker, 85, of Wiley Ford, WV, passed away Monday, June 4, 2012, at his home of esophageal cancer.
Born March 29, 1927, in Breezewood, PA, Mr. Baker was the son of the late Millard Fillmore Baker and Pearl Blanche (Feight) Baker.
A United States Army Veteran of World War II Occupation Forces of Germany.
Bob retired from Kelly-Springfield Rubber and Tire Company with 38 years of service. He was a member of the Calvary Bible Church and the Rubber Workers Union.
Bob was a master of the craft in woodworking. He spent many hours of enjoyment in his shop.
Bob is survived by his wife of 64 years: Mary Lou (Imes) Baker; and his daughter: Linda K. McCoy and husband, Jon, Centreville, PA. He is also survived by his brothers: Harold Baker and wife, Mary Jane, Millersville, PA; and Clair "Jim” Baker, Manheim, PA; his grandchildren: Jona J. Christner and husband, Paul, Short Gap, WV; and Jill K.M. Knight and husband, Geren, Fort Ashby, WV; his great grandson: Geren Knight, Fort Ashby, WV; and his step great grandchildren: Samantha and Logan Christner, Short Gap, WV.
Friends were received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD on Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. A funeral service was conducted at the funeral home on Friday, June 7, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Greg Miller and Pastor Ken Jorns officiating.
Interment was in Everett Cemetery.
Military honors were accorded at the cemetery by the Everett Combined Veterans Honor Guard. The family requested that memorial contributions be made to the Potomac Valley Hospice, 167 South Mineral Street, Keyser, WV 26726.
