OBITUARY
Mrs. Lyllis Theodosia Baker, rural Paola, 83, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 1984, at the Regency Health Care Center at Osawatomie.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Lowe of Paola. She was born June 18, 1901. She attended the schools here and graduated from the Paola High School. She attended college and became a school teacher. She taught at Osawatomie for several years.
She was married to Clarence A. Baker Aug. 30, 1921. They became the parents of four children. Mrs. Baker was known for her artistic abilities and oil paintings.
Her husband, a son, Clarence Andrew Baker Jr., and a daughter, Bernadine, preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, William Baker of the home; a daughter, martha Yocum of Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren, Pete Yocum of Kansas City, Mo., and Geena Robinson and Lynette Legoski, both of Florissant, Colo.; two sisters, Evelyn Roe of California, and Lela Whiteford of Independence, Mo., and a brother, Ron Lowe of Virginia.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. today at the Osawatomie Cemetery. The services were under the direction of the Wilson & Son Funeral Home of Paola.
