EDNA LOUISE BAKER, 83, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, at Lutheran Hospital. Born June 1, 1924, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Olla V. (Quillen) and James D. Fender. She was a laborer at Monsanto for 15 years. Surviving are her daughters, Vetha Lechleidner and Barbara (Bruce) Stirlen; sons, James (Katie) Lechleidner and Robert (Amy) Lechleidner and Kenneth Lechleidner; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Lechleidner; and second husband, Lawrence J. Baker. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 Wells St., with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in Oak Park Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Cancer Society.
