BAKER, ERNEST, SR., age 84, of Birmingham, died Saturday, December 30, 2005. He was a former member of New Hope Methodist Church, Odenville, AL, a World War II veteran and retired from Concord Mine after 25 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Eloise M. Baker; daughters, Ruby (Hayward) Thompson, Jacqueline Rowe, Tetuanda Brown, Cathy Kirkland, Beverly (Eugene) Webster, Lutricia Hughes; sons, Ernest, Jr. (Barbara), Reginald (Jacquelyn) and Thaddius Baker; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister, Yvonne Foster. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at Arrington Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Zion Memorial Gardens. Arrington Funeral Home directing.
