Mr. Sherrill Wayne Baker age 63, of Douglas, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 22, 2014, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Baker was born August 18, 1950 to the late Elbert H. Baker and the late Ruby Davis Baker.

Survivors include: His Wife: Pat Baker of Douglas, Ga.; 1 Son: "Jon" (Deleah) Baker of Douglas, Ga.; 2 Grandchildren: Meagan Baker and Landon Baker of Douglas, Ga.; 3 Sisters: Wanda (Paul) Hutcheson, Faye (Allen) Vaughn, and Jean (Billy) Cato all of Douglas, Ga.; Loving Mother-In-Law: Onie A. Fisher of Abbeville, Ga.; Many Loving Nieces, Nephews, Uncles, Aunts, Friends, and Other Relatives.

Funeral Services were held Tuesday morning, February 25, 2014, at 11:00 A.M., at the West Ward Street Church of God, with the Rev. David Fisher, Rev. Richard Baker, and Rev. Britt Peavy Officiating. The interment followed in the Douglas City Cemetery.
