FALLS MILLS, Va — Juanita was born September 4, 1932 in Jenkinjones, WV.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Carlton Crockett "Corky" Whitley; daughter, Karen Zamberlan of Monroeville, PA; parents, Arthur Lee and Bertha Baker and siblings Lillie Poszich, Robert Baker, Johnnie Baker, Ralph Baker, Everette Baker, Bonnie Baker and Shirley Baker.
Juanita is survived by her son, Marvin Whitley of Falls Mills, VA; daughter, Sharon Thompson of Knoxville, TN; brother, Arthur "Bud" Baker of Bluefield VA and Rudolph Baker of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, David Whitley of Lincoln, NE, Shane Rose of Andersonville TN and Shawn Rose of Knoxville TN; great-grandchildren, Kari and Zoey Rose of Andersonville, TN. She is also survived by a special nephew, Randy Ernest who helped with her care and sisters-in-law, Margaret Tabor of Bluefield, VA and Carolyn Quesenberry of Bluefield, VA.
Juanita was a member of Falls Mills Christian Church. She retired from GTE Telephone Company. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 2 P.M. at the Falls Mills Christian Church with Pastors Rick Mathena and Terry Hodge officiating. Burial will follow at The Harry Cemetery, Falls Mills, Va. Pallbearers are Family and Friends.
Friends may visit with the family Thursday at the church 1 P.M. until the hour of Service,
