She passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Loudoun Hospital. She was the wife of Rupert B. Baker; daughter of Jacob A. Hardaway, Sr. and the late Addie B. Hardaway; mother of three and the late Jacelyn B. Baker; step-mother of seven; sister three; she has one step-brother. Also survived by her step-mother; adopted brother, Rev. Dr. Leonard Smith; numerous step-grand and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Baker lie in state at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 3500 S. 19th Street, Arlington, VA 22204 on Friday, March 18, 2011 until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Dr. Leonard Smith, pastor.
