Bobby G. Baker, age 82, died on October 12, 2010 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, October 15, 2010 in Lunn's Colonial Chapel with John Orr, Minister of Faith Village Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
Bobby was born July 12, 1928 to Spurgeon W. and Maggie E. (Hartin) Baker in Wichita Falls, Texas. Bobby married Marie Mahana Dennis on July 23, 1952 in Henrietta, Texas. Bobby was a machinist for over 50 years. He worked for both Wichtex and Burgess Industries before he retired in 1998. Bobby was a member of Faith Village Church of Christ. He loved music and played in several bands in the local area during his lifetime.
Bobby was preceded in death by a daughter Lois Jean Thornhill; two brothers: Melvin and Floyd Baker; and two sisters: Ruby Mathews and Grace Musick. He is survived by his wife Marie Baker of Wichita Falls, Texas; two sons: Robert Baker and Donald Dennis, both of Wichita Falls, Texas; seventeen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-7 PM, for visitation.
