Alma E. Hammaker, of The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg, formerly of Duncansville and Tyrone, died at the home. She was born in Duncansville, the daughter of Charles Zook and Mary Jane Brown Baker. She married Chester E. Hammaker on June 7, 1916, in Duncansville. He died March 16, 1985.Mrs. Hammaker was a member of Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church and a former member of the Friendship Sunday School class. She enjoyed camping until the age of 95. Mrs. Hammaker was a member of the Tyrone Chapter, AARP, and the Tyrone Golden Age Club. Surviving are daughters: Evelyn Smith of Hollidaysburg, Jane Snare of Harrisburg, Mary Ann Zeigler of Oley and Nancy Heaton of Middletown; son, Ed of Duncansville; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
