Diana M. Baker, 76, of Crestline, died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital, Mansfield, after a long illness.
Diana was born in Crestline on August 24, 1938 to the late Omar P. and Bernice B. (Williams) Counterman. She married William Henry Baker, Jr. on November 23, 1957 and he survives her.
Diana worked for Bob Jones at the Equity for five years as a bookkeeper after graduating from Crestline High School in 1956. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her great-grandson, Joe. She was a Cleveland Indians fan. Diana enjoyed watching old movies and talking on the phone with her friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Doreen Baker, Mansfield, her son Robert A. and Jennifer Baker, Crestline, her great-grandson, Joseph Fikes, who lives with his grandparents in Crestline, her two sisters, Doris Pry, Shelby, and Donna Schindledecker, Shelby, and her good friend Alice Grey, Chicago, IL.
Friends may call Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline, with Pastor Chris Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline.
