Samuel Baker.

Samuel Baker, 80 years old, died this morning after a lingering illness, at the home of his daughter, 240 New York Avenue. He was a veteran Confederate soldier, serving with Company F, Ninth Missouri Infantry. He was [a] pioneer in Western Kansas, formerly residing near Dodge City. A brief service will be held at 12:30 Sunday at the Lahey & Martin Chapel. The body will be taken to Dodge City for burial.
