He graduated from Houston High School in 1979 and married Gwendolyn "Glenda" LeAnn Bonny Sept. 2, 1989. They had one daughter.
Mr. Baker loved riding horses and spent hours with his daughter riding in the barn and at horse shows.
He was a lifetime member of the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association. He was a triple A certified judge, working around Missouri and other states.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Houston.
Surviving are his wife and daughter, Jazmine Jane, of the home; parents of Houston; brother, Kyle Baker of Willard; and maternal grandmother, Virgie Shelton of Bucyrus.
Services were Nov. 3 at the First Baptist Church in Houston with Dr. Howell Burkhead officiating. Burial was in the Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Jazmine Baker Education Fund in care of First National Bank in Houston.
