Graveside services for Pearle Baker, 93, of Los Angeles, Calif. will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Fisch officiating.

Pearle Carlson was born October 8, 1887 to John and Mary Carlson at Cedar Bluffs. Later the family moved to a farm three and one half miles southwest of Creighton.

After receiving her education at Creighton High School and Midland College at Fremont, she taught school many years in the Creighton vicinity.

She married Ed Baker of Bloomfield, where they lived and Ed was in the plumbing business, later moving to Sioux City, Iowa, where he was yardmaster at the stock yards.

After his death on January 17, 1965, she moved to Los Angeles, where she lived until her death on February 6, 1981.

Survivors are a niece, Mrs. Andy (Alma) Dohmen of Creighton; a nephew, Marvin Elwood Sr. of Plainview, grand nephews, Kenneth Elwood, Richard Elwood and Marvin Elwood Jr., all of Plainview, Duane Dohmen of Creighton and Keith Stingley of West Point.
