Hobart Baize, the son of Lem Baize and Nancy "Nannie" Mudd, was born on August 13, 1930. His paternal grandparents were Matt Baize and Liza Renfrow. His maternal grandparents were Dillard Mudd and Candy Woosley. He had a twin brother Homer, whose date of birth was given as August 18, 1930. It is likely that one of the dates was either misread or entered into the cemetery record incorrectly. Hobart died at the age of 1 year, 3 months and 10 or 15 days on November 28, 1931, one day after his tiwn Homer died on the 27th. His brother Willard died 9 days later December 6, 1931. They were buried in the Payton Cemetery west of Dan Station Road near the Ohio County line in Grayson County, Kentucky. Also buried here are his sisters Deana and Velma. His parents are buried in the Miles Oller Cemetery in Grayson County.
