Vivienne Marjorie Leach Baird, 97, passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Vivienne was born Dec. 27, 1915, in Clarks, Neb., to Hazel and Earl Leach. She married the love of her life, Bill Baird, in 1942. After World War II, they traveled and lived abroad for several years before having two children, Bill Jr. and Kay. Vivienne lived a full and rich life centered on family and friends. She was an avid volunteer and logged over 2,000 hours at Cook Children's Medical Center. Vivienne lived independently and was active in her bridge club through age 91. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill. The family wishes to thank the staff at Stonegate Nursing Center for providing loving and attentive care during the last six years of her life. Survivors: Daughter, Kay Baird Harris and husband, Gregg; son, Bill Baird and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Nathan Harris, Arden Harris, Nicole Baird Draper, Brendon Harris and Lindsey Baird; great-grandchildren, Emily Draper, Nicholas Draper, Colton Draper and Ava Draper; sisters, Virginia Barnaby and Gladys McGlochlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
