A telegram was received yesterday telling of the death of Taylor Baird of Glendale, California. Mr. Baird was raised in this community and moved to Elgin, Illinois, about twenty years ago. In August 1924, he was visiting in Winterset, and he and Mrs. Baird left for Glendale, where they have since lived.
Mr. Baird has been a traveling salesman for some Chicago firm, but has been in very poor health for the past year. He has been in a hospital for the past two months but no help could be found for him.
He is survived by his wife, and mother, Mrs. Lida Baird, who is in California with him, two daughters, who are still at Elgin, and two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at Glendale, and he will be buried there. Source: Winterset Madisonian, Winterset, Iowa, March 18, 1926
