Alice Nell Mixon Bains
SHREVEPORT, LA -- Mrs. Alice Nell Bains, 82, died at Willis Knighton Hospital in Shreveport on Friday, June 7, 2002. A memorial service celebrating her Godly life and homegoing will be held Friday, June 14, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in Frost Chapel of First Baptist Church Shreveport. Officiating will be Mr. Raymond T. Boswell. Family visitation will follow in the parlor.

Mrs. Bains was an active member of Highland/First Baptist Church and Gideons international Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence Richard Mixon and Edna Lois Shelton Mixon; brothers: Randle Richard Mixon, and Charles Lynwood Mixon; and son Timothy Arnold Bains.

She is survived by her husband, John Calvin Bains. Sr.; children: John Calvin Bains, Jr., Josephine Elizabeth Baker, David Paul Bains, Eshter Ruth Offolter, and Debra Lois Cook; grand-children: Allen Offholter, Allison Knittel, Ashley Droste, Jay Baker, Andrew Bains, Abigail Bains, Scott Cook, and Jennifer Cook; and great-grandohildren: Emma Leigh Droste, lsabelle Alden Droste, and Claire Evalyn Offholter.
The family requests that memorials be made in lieu of flowers to the Gideons International or their favorite charity.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation to all those who ministered rto her during her illness.
