Mrs. Derieg's Father Dies
George Bainbridge, father of Mrs. L. Derieg of north of Carnegie, died at his home at Waverly, Neb. February 18 at the age of 89 years. He was born on Lord Furbishon's estate, Yorkshire England, March 8, 1810. He emigrated to this country in 1870. Will and Nellie Derieg went to Waverly to attend the funeral of their grandfather.
For many years Mr. Bainbridge owned one of the Derieg farms north of Carnegie. He bought it from Milo Dick in 1904, paying $8,000 for it. It is said to be the highest price paid for a farm in Caddo county at that time.
