Raymond P. Bain, age 92 of Lafayette Hill PA, died Friday (1/11) at his residence at the Hill of Whitemarsh, Lafayette Hill, PA. He was a retired Sales Manager for Link Belt FMC Corp. and retired Air Force Captain. Mr. Bain was born in Indianapolis, IND., the son of the late Oliver and the late Florence Cubert Bain. Husband of the late Mary (Repse) Bain who passed away in 2011. Mr. Bain was a Veteran of WW2 retiring as a Captain from the Army Air Force. His military career was quite extensive as he was a fighter pilot with the 354th Fighter Group, 355th Squadron. Mr. Bain was a P.O.W. spending over 2 years in hospitals in Germany, France, and England receiving the Purple Heart Air Medal with 7 Clusters, the Distinguished Flying Cross Ribbon with 3 bronze service stars. He also received the Distinguished Unit Citation, The American Theater Ribbon and WW2 Victory Medal along with numerous other awards and citations having completing many successful bombing missions through out Europe. Mr. Bain was an active member of the Whitemarsh Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill and Saint Philip Neri Church. He is survived by three daughters: Cheryl R. Bain-Monaco(Angelo) of Norriton, PA, Nancy M. Bain of Perkasie, PA, Mary Kay Bain-Letterman (Jamie) of Hawaii one son: Raymond P. Bain (Marlene) of Lower Gwynedd, PA 3 Grandchildren-Mark, Danielle, Nicole And 4 Great Grand-Matthew, Samantha, Jackson and Benjamin., Friends may call Wednesday 1/16/2013 from 9:30-10:30am at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am
