Mrs. Delilah Baily, wife of J. K. Baily, died at her home at Khedive, this county, Thursday, May 13, at 2 .m. Mrs. Baily was born August 10, 1812 and was almost 85 years of age. She had always resided in Greene County and was a faithful member of the C.P. Church for almost half a century. She was a woman whom all her friends and acquaintances dearly loved, no one in the community being more highly esteemed than the deceased and her aged husband. They were the friends of everyone.

They were united in marriage in 1835, their union lasting sixty-two years. Eight children were born to them, all of whom are now living. Zillah, wife of N.H. Biddle, of Carmichaels; John Milton of Gibson City, Ill.; Phoebe, wife of R.S. Long of Khedive; W. Calvin of Whitely, Pa.; Clarinda, wife of Joseph Hawkins of Lippencott, Pa.; Elmira, wife of John H. Rinehart, J. K. Baily, Jr., who resides in Ohio; and Lydia B., wife of C.G. Fordyce, of Khedive. The funeral took place on Friday at 2 p.m. and was attended by a large number of friends. Interment at Carmichaels.
