Mrs. W. B. Bailey
Services were held on January 2nd at the First Baptist Church for Mrs. W. B. Bailey, oldest citizen of Winona and oldest member of the First Baptist Church. The Rev. C. B. Hamlet, III, pastor, and the Rev. E. C. Driskell officiated. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery under direction of McGahey and Lott Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bailey, who was 93, has spent most of her life in Winona. She was formerly Miss Addie Adams and served as a milliner for one of the early Winona business firms, the Charlie Harris Mercantile Company.
Her husband was one of the first engineers on the old Georgia and Pacific Railroad.
She leaves a niece, Miss Addie Lou Smith, a teacher in a Hattiesburg school who was named for her; several nephews, including Frank Carroll, father of Mrs. Guy Fisher of Winona.
