JOHNSTON, RI - Louise Bailey Mawhiney, of Johnston, RI, passed away on April 25th. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Harold O. Mawhiney. Born in Springfield, MA to Irving and Mae (Podgorska) Bailey. After marriage she made her homes in Hawthorne and Rye, NY retiring to Ghent, NY. She was a homemaker, a Paul Harris Award recipient of Rotary International, and mother to her son's David and Allan. She is survived by her sister Theresa Bailey Nazareth of Hampden, MA, son David, wife cheryl and grandson Kyle of Pittsford, NY and her son Allan, wife Jeanne and granddaughters Marla, Andrea, Lindsey, Kelsey and Laura of Johnston, RI. She also leaves 2 1/2 great grandchildren. Visitation Wednesday May 1st 9-10AM in the Winfield & Son's Funeral Home, 571 West Greenville Rd., N. Scituate, RI, followed by internment at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield, MA at 12noon.
