George E. Bailey 74, Beech Grove, died Feb. 7, 2004.
Mr. Bailey served two tours in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge 1783, VFW Post 5626, American Legion 276, and Eagles 4167, which he was Past Worthy President. He retired from Chrysler as an electrician in 1991 after 19 years. Prior to that he owned and operated K & B Electric.
Visitation is Wed., Feb. 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. in Little & Sons Beech Grove Chapel, where services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 12.
Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery (Columbus, IN).
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Charlotte Louise Bailey; sister Josephine Koepke; and brother, Harold "H.T." Bailey.
Survivors include his children, Sharon (Jerry) Wood, Ted (Mary) Bailey, Greg (Leigh) Bailey; sister Geneveive "Gene" Bailey Grindstaff; grandchildren, Sarah, Mary, Nicole, Shannon, Matt, Amie, George Jr., Starla, Trent, Brandon, Ryan, Gavin, Gage and Lilly.
